Acoustic & Hearing Safety Notice

Important

Protect your ears and audio hardware: Continuous high-volume exposure to pure sine tones can cause permanent hearing damage or blow out speaker voice coils. Human ears have reduced sensitivity below 20 Hz and above 10,000 Hz.

💡 Rule of thumb: Calibrate your device volume using a 1,000 Hz tone at a soft, comfortable level. Do not raise the volume if inaudible at extreme frequencies.

Headphone Quality & Hearing Test

Evaluate headphone driver matching, test maximum high-frequency hearing acuity, and check low-end planar / dynamic driver distortion.

01

High-Frequency Hearing Limit Test

Discover the highest tone frequency your ears can detect.

As we age, hair cells in the cochlea naturally wear down, reducing sensitivity to high treble. Put on your headphones at a gentle volume and click from top to bottom.

02

L/R Driver Balance & Center Imaging

Ensure both headphone earcups produce identical volume.

Defective headphone cables or mis-matched dynamic drivers often pull the stereo image slightly to one side. The tone should sound dead-center inside your head.

Low-End Driver Rattling & Buzz Test

A 35 Hz high-amplitude tone reveals any hair stuck against the driver diaphragm or rattling joints.
